Eight years ago, one of our members was diagnosed with breast cancer. As a club, we chose to support her endeavors, with the Lions Run for Hope, a Charity 5K Run/Walk fundraiser, which will take place this year on Sunday, September 26th. Our goal is to celebrate the survivors, encourage and support those currently fighting, help find a cure and support the Wellness House, which assists families dealing with all cancers. In the past seven years, we raised and donated over $45,000. All funds were distributed equally to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and the Wellness House.
